Record #152518:

Permafrost as a climatic indicator in northern Victoria Land, Antarctica / M. Guglielmin, F. Dramis.

Title: Permafrost as a climatic indicator in northern Victoria Land, Antarctica / M. Guglielmin, F. Dramis.
Author(s): Guglielmin, M.
Dramis, F.
Date: 1999.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1999.), Vol. 29 (1999)
Abstract: Investigates permafrost between Nansen Ice Sheet and Mount Melbourne, Victoria Land, Antarctica, using geomorphological surveys and electrical soundings as well as crystallographic, chemical and isotopic analyses of ground ice. Determines relationships between climate and thermal regimes of active layer and upper part of permafrost. Some suggestion made of influence of possible winter snowfall.
