Record #152488:

Approaches to modelling the surface albedo of a high Arctic glacier / Anthony Arendt.

Title: Approaches to modelling the surface albedo of a high Arctic glacier / Anthony Arendt.
Author(s): Arendt, Anthony.
Date: 1999.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1999.), Vol. 81A(4) (1999)
Abstract: Discusses how broadband surface albedo measurements made on John Evans Glacier, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canada varied strongly with solar zenith angle. Albedo model results suggest diurnal variations in surface albedo should be acknowledged in energy balance models of glacier melt. In special issue on Methods of Mass Balance Measurements and Modelling.
