Controls on the greenhouse gas exchange of a high Arctic ecosystem / Thomas Friborg, Birger Ulf Hansen, Henrik Soegaard.

Title: Controls on the greenhouse gas exchange of a high Arctic ecosystem / Thomas Friborg, Birger Ulf Hansen, Henrik Soegaard.
Author(s): Friborg, Thomas.
Hansen, Birger Ulf.
Soegaard, Henrik.
Date: 1999.
In: Geografisk Tidsskrift. (1999.), Vol. 99 (1999)
Abstract: Authors measured exchange of CO₂ and CH₄ in valley in NE Greenland from spring to autumn 1997. Results show significant variation and high dependency on prevailing climatic conditions. In summer valley was sink of carbon dioxide, with highest uptake in densist vegetation. It was source of methane at that time. Emission rate was mainly related to soil temperature and to position of water table.
