Abstract: Describes full-scale experimental studies performed in Transdrift-IV expedition from fast ice in near- delta of Lena river in Laptev sea during period immediately preceding the flood and during peak of flood(late May-early/mid June). Using known conditions, determines probability of supercooling and further frazil ice formation at all stations. Estimates fluxes of suspended matter to bottom ice surface, governed by processes of frazil ice formation, based on known concentrations of suspended sediments in layer freshened by river water.
