A new surface-processes model combining glacial and fluvial erosion / Jean Braun, Dan Zwartz, Jonathan H. Tomkin.
Title: | A new surface-processes model combining glacial and fluvial erosion / Jean Braun, Dan Zwartz, Jonathan H. Tomkin. |
Author(s): | Braun, Jean. Zwartz, Dan. Tomkin, Jonathan H. |
Date: | 1999. |
In: | Annals of Glaciology. (1999.), Vol. 28 (1999) |
Abstract: | Model incorporates large-scale fluvial processes, local hill-slope processes and glacial erosion. Compares efficiency of fluvial and glacial erosion in simulated fast-growing orogens, and shows amongst other conclusions that glacial landscapes can support greater ice masses than fluvial landscapes. |
Notes: | Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 28 :282-290 (1999). Papers from the International Symposium on Glaciers and the Glaciated Landscape, 17--20 August 1998, Kiruna, Sweden, J. Kleman (Editor) |
