Record #152238:

Grain textural analysis across a range of glacial facies / A. Khatwa, J.K. Hart, A.J. Payne.

Title: Grain textural analysis across a range of glacial facies / A. Khatwa, J.K. Hart, A.J. Payne.
Author(s): Khatwa, A.
Hart, J. K.
Payne, A. J.
Date: 1999.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1999.), Vol. 28 (1999)
Abstract: Uses supraglacial and subglacial facies in testing Hooke and Iverson's (1995) technique identifying deformed subglacial sediments. Investigates whether fractal dimension can distinguish between non-deformed and deformed facies, and whether it can be used as diagnostic criteria to discriminate between different styles and degrees of basal deformation. Subglacial samples came from Quaternary sites in England, supraglacial samples from present-day Haut Glacier d'Arolla, Switzerland.
