Record #151631:

Dynamics of an isolated population of Weddell seals (Leptonychotes weddellii) at White Island, Antarctica / J. Ward Testa, Bradley D. Scotton.

Title: Dynamics of an isolated population of Weddell seals (Leptonychotes weddellii) at White Island, Antarctica / J. Ward Testa, Bradley D. Scotton.
Author(s): Testa, J. Ward.
Scotton, Bradley D.
Date: 1999.
In: Journal of Mammalogy. (1999.), Vol. 80(1) (1999)
Abstract: Reports studies on small, apparently isolated population of Weddell seals cut off from other populations by 18 km of floating glacier. Suggests that provides possible model for small populations of endangered seals and also possibly for conditions leading to speciation in polar phocids.
