Record #151615:

Real-time monitor of geomagnetic field in the near-pole regions as an index for magnetospheric electric field / Tsutomu Nagatsuma, Takahiro Obara, Hiromitsu Ishibashi, Kanji Hayashi, Donald J. McEwen.

Title: Real-time monitor of geomagnetic field in the near-pole regions as an index for magnetospheric electric field / Tsutomu Nagatsuma, Takahiro Obara, Hiromitsu Ishibashi, Kanji Hayashi, Donald J. McEwen.
Author(s): Nagatsuma, Tsutomu.
Obara, Takahiro.
Ishibashi, Hiromitsu.
Hayashi, Kanji.
McEwen, Donald J.
Date: 1999.
In: National Institute of Polar Research. Proceedings of the NIPR Symposium on Upper Atmosphere Physics. (1999.), Vol. 13 (1999)
Abstract: PC (polar cap) index is good indicator of magnetospheric electric field, so real time monitoring of magnetic activity near poles is useful for space weather forecasts and descriptions. Horizontal components of magnetic field data correlated well between stations at Thule and Eureka except in summer.
