Record #151424:

An integrated vegetation mapping approach for northern Alaska (1: 4 M scale) / D.A. Walker.

Title: An integrated vegetation mapping approach for northern Alaska (1: 4 M scale) / D.A. Walker.
Author(s): Walker, D. A.
Date: 1999.
In: International Journal of Remote Sensing. (1999.), Vol. 20(15-16) (1999)
Abstract: Describes making integrated vegetation map using Phytogeographic subzones and Floristic subprovinces Map (PFM) adjusted to AVHRR false colour infrared imagery, and Integrated Vegetation-Complex Map (IVCM). These are overlaid in geographic information system (GIS), with series of derived maps created through use of look-up tables. Applied to northern Alaska, but could be adapted to any Arctic region. Paper from Fifth Circumpolar Remote Sensing Symposium, Dundee, Scotland, 22-25 June 1998, ed. S.K. Newcombe and A.P. Cracknell.
