Abstract: Quotes "Fiskaren" on method of stopping young herrings eating capelin fry as they float eastwards. Herrings have good hearing, so airgun can put them off. In USA overpopulation led to starvation of wild horses; cure was to sterilise them. Similar treatment of minke whales and harp seals in East Ice would yield enormous benefits for fishing industry.
