Record #151326:

Interannual variability of glaciers and snow cover / Alexander Krenke, Tatyana Khromova, Ludmila Chernova.

Title: Interannual variability of glaciers and snow cover / Alexander Krenke, Tatyana Khromova, Ludmila Chernova.
Author(s): Krenke, Alexander.
Khromova, Tatyana.
Chernova, Ludmila.
Date: 1999.
Publisher: Wallingford: IAHS Press
In: Interactions between the cryosphere, climate and greenhouse gases. (1999.),
Abstract: Examines annual snow accumulation and shifts in glacier termini in Scandinavia, the Alps and Caucasus, showing annual glacier front shift is regularly spread and geometrically similar, averaged over 4 years. Glacier dynamics in Caucasus and Alps are similar, as function of snow cover changes. Scandinavian glaciers shrank more in 1988-90 than in 1986-88.
