Interannual variability of snow cover distribution over the former Soviet Union in connection with climate change / Alexander Krenke, Lev Kitaev.
Title: | Interannual variability of snow cover distribution over the former Soviet Union in connection with climate change / Alexander Krenke, Lev Kitaev. |
Author(s): | Krenke, Alexander. Kitaev, Lev. |
Date: | 1999. |
Publisher: | Wallingford: IAHS Press |
In: | Interactions between the cryosphere, climate and greenhouse gases. (1999.), |
Abstract: | Analyses snow cover anomalies in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Baltic countries for 1966-90. Strong El Niño gave higher snow storage to south, whilst negative anomalies predominated in Russian plain and north of Siberia. La Niña years show inverse pattern. |
Notes: | In: Interactions between the cryosphere, climate and greenhouse gases / Martyn Tranter, Richard Armstrong, Eric Brun, Gerry Jones, Martin J. Sharp, Mark Williams, eds. |
