Record #151101:

The ecology of Arctic deep sea copepods (Euchaetidae and Aetideidae. Aspects of their distribution, trophodynamics and effect on the carbon flux / Holger Auel.

Title: The ecology of Arctic deep sea copepods (Euchaetidae and Aetideidae. Aspects of their distribution, trophodynamics and effect on the carbon flux / Holger Auel.
Author(s): Auel, Holger.
Date: 1999.
In: Berichte zur Polarforschung = Reports on Polar Research. (1999.), Vol. 319 (1999)
Abstract: Regional and vertical distribution was studied at 19 stations in Greenland Sea, Fram Strait and near Arctic Ocean, finding 11 species. Vertical water column had species partitioned, shifted up towards North. Strong differences in reproduction, such as egg size and number, were detected among Pareuchaeta species. Feeding behaviour, diet, respiration, carbon demands and and mechanisms reducing interspecific competition were studied.
