Abstract: | Assesses extent to which transport fluctuations in Antarctic Circumpolar Current can be measured by bottom pressure recorders, and examines relationship between transport and wind stress over Southern Ocean. Includes discussion of wind-driven fluctuations in transport through Drake Passage choke point, and problem of relating bottom pressure measurements to transport fluctuations using data from Fine Resolution Antarctic Model (FRAM) and Parallel Ocean Climate Model (POCM) |
