Abstract: | Ocean Circulation Climate Advanced Modelling Project (OCCAM) from Southampton was adapted to Baltic Sea conditions. Optimized performance and advanced algorithms to calculate processor maps make RCO fast and suitable for multi-year simulations. Presents results of coupled ice-ocean model for hindcast period (1992/93) and compares them with observations. Importance of modelling sea-ice dynamics is emphasised. This is part of the Swedish Regional Climate Modelling Programme (SWECLIM) programme. |
