Record #150761:

The late Palaeozoic Eskolabreen granitoids of southern Ny Friesland, Svalbard Caledonides - geochemistry, age and origin / Åke Johansson, David G. Gee.

Title: The late Palaeozoic Eskolabreen granitoids of southern Ny Friesland, Svalbard Caledonides - geochemistry, age and origin / Åke Johansson, David G. Gee.
Author(s): Johansson, Åke.
Gee, David G.
Date: 1999.
In: GFF. (1999.), Vol. 121(2) (1999)
Abstract: Eskolabreen Complex of Finlandveggen Nappe is lowermost exposed tectonostratigraphic unit in these Caledonides. It is banded sequence, mostly of interlayered granitic gneisses and concordant amphibolites. U-Pb zircon dating was suppplemented by new readings. Sm-Nd analyses yield εNd values near -1. Data suggest that all granitoid units represent same suite of late Palaeoproterozoic within-plate granites, intruded into and largely derived from pre-existing continental crust.
