Record #150572:
Holocene glacier advances in the headwaters of Sredniaya Avacha, Kamchatka, Russia / Oxana S. Savoskul.
Title: | Holocene glacier advances in the headwaters of Sredniaya Avacha, Kamchatka, Russia / Oxana S. Savoskul. |
Author(s): | Savoskul, Oxana S. |
Date: | 1999. |
In: | Quaternary Research. (1999.), Vol. 52(1) (1999) |
Abstract: | Holocene glacial deposits are divided in headwaters of Sredniya Avacha into three age groups based upon geomorphic features, dating of tephra deposits and lichenometry. Event A in Holocene provides maximum glacial extent, event B shows several glacial advances in post-Hypsithermal, with smaller advances in Little Ice Age, event C. |
