Ecosystem CO₂ exchange from the Sahel to the Arctic - in a global change perspective / Henrik Soegaard.
Title: | Ecosystem CO₂ exchange from the Sahel to the Arctic - in a global change perspective / Henrik Soegaard. |
Author(s): | Soegaard, Henrik. |
Date: | 1999. |
In: | Geografisk Tidsskrift. (1999.), Vol. 1 (1999) |
Abstract: | Paper summarises results from sites in Sahel, central Spain, boreal Sweden and NE Greenland, within framework of International Biosphere Geosphere Programme (IBGP). Average course in CO₂ exchange is presented for each site, showing that least productive system is not in tundra, but in arid wine- growing part of Spain. Differences in carbon assimilation are related to physiology of vegetation, especially stomatal control. Photosynthesis model is applied to analyse sensitivity of systems to temperature change. |
Notes: | Geografisk Tidsskrift. Vol. 1 :191-198 (1999). |
Keywords: | 546.264-31 -- Carbon dioxide. 581.1 -- Plant physiology. 581.132 -- Photosynthesis. G -- Botany. (*3) -- Arctic regions. (*38) -- Greenland. |
