Record #150146:

Early Holocene tree growth at a high elevation site in the northernmost Scandes of Sweden (Lapland): a palaeo-biogeographical case study based on megafossil evidence / Leif Kullman.

Title: Early Holocene tree growth at a high elevation site in the northernmost Scandes of Sweden (Lapland): a palaeo-biogeographical case study based on megafossil evidence / Leif Kullman.
Author(s): Kullman, Leif.
Date: 1999.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1999.), Vol. 81A(1) (1999)
Abstract: Megafossil remains in peats and lakes were sought over large area, high above present treeline. Radiocarbon dated wood of pine, birch and alder from c. 6000 and 3000 BC, agreeing with data from further south, and disagreeing with inferences from pollen, some macrofossils and circulation models. Milankovitch orbital theory seems to be of over-riding importance.
