Record #150059:

Age and extent of the Scandinavian ice sheet in northwest Russia / Eiliv Larsen, and 6 others.

Title: Age and extent of the Scandinavian ice sheet in northwest Russia / Eiliv Larsen, and 6 others.
Author(s): Larsen, Eiliv.
Date: 1999.
In: Boreas. (1999.), Vol. 28(1) (1999)
Abstract: Discusses evidence for position of ice during Last Glacial Maximum, suggesting outer margin of Scandinavian ice sheet was situated in Mezen drainage basin. Luminiscence and radiocarbon dates suggest maximum position was reached some 17 ka ago, and that deglaciation started about 15 ka ago, younger than maximum position in western peripheral area of Scandinavian ice sheet.
