Record #149933:

Die Frühgeschichte der Polarvölker, Alaska / Robert McGhee.

Title: Die Frühgeschichte der Polarvölker, Alaska / Robert McGhee.
Translated title: The prehistory of the Polar people, Alaska.
Author(s): McGhee, Robert.
Date: 1999.
Publisher: Oststeinbek, Germany: Alouette Verlag
Language: German.
In: Im Bannkreis des Nordens : auf den Spuren der Entdecker in die faszinierenden Welten des Polarkreises. (1999.),
Abstract: As dates of land bridge from Asia to Alaska are uncertain, so are dates of various migrations. Indian artefacts of c. 8000-12000 BC are known from Chile and some Eskimo artefacts from Alaska match others from Asia between Japan and Chukotka. Inuit seem to have spread right across from Kolyma to Greenland in first millennium AD.
