Abstract: Examines causes of site changes in lesser sheathbills breeding on sub-Antarctic Mayes Island, Iles Kerguelen, from 1989-1996, with particular reference to factors determining choice of new territories, and consequences of choice of seabird-present or seabird-absent site on mate retention, food acquisition and reproductive performance.
