Record #149702:

Aerophotogrammetric study of ice movement in surging glaciers / Yu.F. Knizhnikov, R.N. Gelman, G.B. Osipovsa, D.G. Tsvetkov.

Title: Aerophotogrammetric study of ice movement in surging glaciers / Yu.F. Knizhnikov, R.N. Gelman, G.B. Osipovsa, D.G. Tsvetkov.
Author(s): Knizhnikov, Yu. F.
Gelman, R. N.
Osipovsa, G. B.
Tsvetkov, D. G.
Date: 1998.
In: Zeitschrift für Gletscherkunde und Glazialgeologie. (1998.), Vol. 34 (1998)
Abstract: Method uses three aerial pictures of glacier, two taken at same time, third some days later. Stereogram measurements allow acquisition of glacier surface movement and velocity points together with their spatial coordinates. Applied to Pamir Medvezhy Glacier in 1990 and 1991, allowed determination of daily velocity of glacier surface movement at 800 points over 6 km tongue of glacier, including icefall.
Notes:
