Record #149243:

Sources and origins of aerosols reaching Antarctica as revealed by lead concentration profiles in shallow snow / C. Barbante, C. Turetta, A. Gambaro, G. Capodaglio, G. Scarponi.

Title: Sources and origins of aerosols reaching Antarctica as revealed by lead concentration profiles in shallow snow / C. Barbante, C. Turetta, A. Gambaro, G. Capodaglio, G. Scarponi.
Author(s): Barbante, C.
Turetta, C.
Gambaro, A.
Capodaglio, G.
Scarponi, G.
Date: 1998.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1998.), Vol. 27 (1998)
Abstract: Connects changes in lead concentration in Antarctic snow over past 30 years with decrease of lead emissions into atmosphere. Hypothesizes that under present climatic conditions, lead-enriched aerosols reaching Atlantic and Pacific sectors of East Antarctica originate mainly from South America and Australia.
