Abstract: Uses data from six automatic weather stations around interior of Lambert Glacier basin, Antarctica to compile surface climatology for 1994-96. Stations measured air pressure, near-surface wind speed and air temperature, wind direction and firn temperatures. Topography of basin is important, controlling katabatic wind regime. Annual mean temperatures on eastern side at 4-5°C were warmer than equivalent on western side. Consistent pattern of diurnal wind variation occurs in summer at all stations.
