Record #149211:

Non-linear thermal transport and brine convection in first-year sea ice / M.J. McGuinness, H.J. Trodahl, K. Collins, T.G. Haskell.

Title: Non-linear thermal transport and brine convection in first-year sea ice / M.J. McGuinness, H.J. Trodahl, K. Collins, T.G. Haskell.
Author(s): McGuinness, M. J.
Trodahl, H. J.
Collins, K.
Haskell, T. G.
Date: 1998.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1998.), Vol. 27 (1998)
Abstract: Reports on programme measuring thermal conductivity of young sea ice, using array of thermistors frozen into first-year Antarctic sea ice to provide temperature vs depth data. Thermal conductivity is in expected range. Models impact of brine migration on heat transport through first-year sea ice.
