Abstract: Gives results of sensitivity experiments with ocean general circulation model coupled to energy- balance model of atmosphere on potential effect of meltwater input from Antarctic ice sheet. Transient perturbation in Southern Ocean can lead to long-term climate changes in both hemispheres.
