| Abstract: | Develops method for defining catchment boundary using measurements of ice-surface velocity and elevation obtained near Ice Stream B/C boundary in West Antarctica. Uncertainty estimate derived from elevation measurements is about 40% of that from velocity measurements, partly because flowlines determined from velocities are more variable than those from elevation contours. More field measurements are needed. These boundary positions do not confirm that Ice Stream B captured parts of Ice Stream C catchment. |
