Abstract: New ice-velocity data from remote-sensing and field surveys are found for David Glacier-Drygalski Ice Tongue and Priestley and Reeves Glaciers, Victoria Land, Antarctica for periods 1973-90 and 1990- 92, and using GPS for 1989-94. Results from GPS data and feature-tracking close to image tie-points show errors in measured average velocity from feature-tracking may be only ± 15-20 m a⁻¹. Further from tie-points differences are about ± 70 m a⁻¹.
