Record #149134:

Elevation changes on the East Antarctic ice sheet, 1978--93, from satellite radar altimetry: a preliminary assessment / Craig S. Lingle, David N. Covey.

Title: Elevation changes on the East Antarctic ice sheet, 1978--93, from satellite radar altimetry: a preliminary assessment / Craig S. Lingle, David N. Covey.
Author(s): Lingle, Craig S.
Covey, David N.
Date: 1998.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1998.), Vol. 27 (1998)
Abstract: Uses radar altimeter data from 1978, 1985-88 and 1991-93 to estimate multi-year mean changes in surface height on East Antarctic ice sheet, employing orbit crossover analysis. Inconsistency of bias- adjusted Seasat to Geosat vs Seasat to ERS-1 results may show interannual variability or indicate orbits more accurate than JGM-2 are needed to measure these changes in elevation. Alternatively it may reflect differing orbit inclinations of Seasat and ERS-1.
