Abstract: Today's glaciers in Bolivia are found on highest peaks of Andes. Most are located in Cordillera Oriental, covering 550km². During Pleistocene, glacierization was more extensive. Climate, orientation and elevation of mountain ranges decide location, distribution and mass-balance of glaciers.
