Record #148870:
Ultrasonic transmission properties of sea ice / Matthias Heinrich Reisemann.
Title: | Ultrasonic transmission properties of sea ice / Matthias Heinrich Reisemann. |
Author(s): | Reisemann, Matthias Heinrich. |
Date: | 1998. |
Publisher: | Cambridge : |
Abstract: | Describes 23 day experiment modelling full life cycle of artificial sea ice in ice tank, resembling natural sea ice in texture and physical properties. Ultrasonic signals were used to investigate properties, and extensive ice sampling programme carried out. Provides systematic investigation of compressional and shear wave speeds in sea ice, making differentiation between in situ and laboratory samples and comparing results. |
Notes: | Unpublished dissertation submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, University of Cambridge. |
