| Abstract: | Describes trial of Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) snow-mapping project on 13 April 1995 over central Alaska, using MODIS Airborne Simulator (MAS), a 50 channel spectroradiometer. Used integrated reflectance to estimate different vegetation-cover densities. Overall, accuracy of snow-mapping algorithm is greater than 87.41% for 13 April MAS scene with variety of surface covers (coniferous, deciduous and mixed forests, muskeg, tundra and frozen lakes) |
