Dependence of new-snow density on slope angle / Yasoichi Endo, Yuji Kominami, Shouji Niwano.
Title: | Dependence of new-snow density on slope angle / Yasoichi Endo, Yuji Kominami, Shouji Niwano. |
Author(s): | Endo, Yasoichi. Kominami, Yuji. Niwano, Shouji. |
Date: | 1998. |
In: | Annals of Glaciology. (1998.), Vol. 26 (1998) |
Abstract: | Confirms that vertical height of new snow on slope increases with increasing slope angle and density decreases with slope angle. Explains differences in heights and densities of new snow due to slope angle by considering both accumulation and densification processes on slopes. |
Notes: | Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 26 :14-18 (1998). Papers from the International Symposium on Snow and Avalanches, 26--30 May 1997, Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France, D.M. McClung (Editor) |
