Abstract: Anatomy of 481 specimens shows that Larix are c. 70% of trees, while sawn logs are dominated by Pinus c. 69%. C.27% of pine logs were located to Angara River, as were logs on Bear Island and Troynoy in Kara Sea. Subordinate source is coast from Kola Peninsula to Pechora River. Transpolar Drift Stream and East Greenland Current are believed to be main distributor. Dendrochronological dating shows strong, continuous flow of ice-rafted wood from Kara Sea. Surface deposits are less than 500 years old.
