| Abstract: | Describes exhumation of bodies of seven men who died in 'flu' pandemic of 1919, which killed 40 million people. Previously Swedish researcher had dug up some bodies in Alaska. Kirsty Duncan's multi-disciplinary team of 12 dug up 6 graves. In some coffins organs were easily identified, although buried only one foot down. They had remained frozen 8-9 months per annum, wrapped in newspapers, grass and wood. |
