Record #147788:

The prevalence of freshwater flocculation in cold regions: a case study from the Mackenzie River Delta, Northwest Territories, Canada / I.G. Droppo, D. Jeffries, C. Jaskot, Sean M. Backus.

Title: The prevalence of freshwater flocculation in cold regions: a case study from the Mackenzie River Delta, Northwest Territories, Canada / I.G. Droppo, D. Jeffries, C. Jaskot, Sean M. Backus.
Author(s): Droppo, I. G.
Jeffries, D.
Jaskot, C.
Backus, Sean M.
Date: 1998.
In: Arctic. (1998.), Vol. 51(2) (1998)
Abstract: Discusses significance of flocculation as mechanism influencing sediment transport and factors controling it. Compares results obtained in Mackenzie River Delta with those from southern Ontario rivers. Draws inferences from associated observations of in-stream chemical, biological, and physical characteristics and from 'between site' differences in floc size and related data.
