Record #147375:

Architecture and evolution of the continental crust of East Greenland from integrated geophysical studies / Vera Schlindwein.

Title: Architecture and evolution of the continental crust of East Greenland from integrated geophysical studies / Vera Schlindwein.
Author(s): Schlindwein, Vera.
Date: 1998.
In: Berichte zur Polarforschung = Reports on Polar Research. (1998.), Vol. 270 (1998)
Abstract: Geophysical programme investigated crustal structure of East Greenland. Aeromagnetic survey was recorded in magnetic anomaly map. Data set allows studies was made of large-scale structures like Caledonian orogen. Folding probably demagnetised crust in northern part while magnetite survived in southern part. Land-sea seismic refraction studies were carried out in fjord region. Combined gravity and seismic data yielded regional picture of topography of Moho. Changes over geological periods are described from Caledonian to Tertiary, with melts linked with Iceland hotspot, and their final positions, described.
