Abstract: Relates main stages of Munk's attempt of 1619 to seek North-West Passage. Crews of Eenhiorningen and Lamprenen were mainly British. Ice conditions blocked voyage, and when wintering, probably at Chesterfield Inlet, unsuitable food caused deaths of all but Munk and two others, mainly from scurvy. These three eventually returned to Norway, where King Christian IX insulted Munk, they had row and Munk died of heart attack soon after.
