| Abstract: | Data was gathered from 1993 to 1997, and results up to end of 1997 are presented. Aim was to mark cod in spawning areas, and also to test tracking equipment observing behaviour of mature cod, comparing results with previous, traditionally obtained ones, including Jón Jónsson's from 1948-1986. Most fish are shown to be migrants, spawning south of Reykjanes or in Faxaflóa, while those spawning in Breidhafirdhur are resident. |
