Dynamics of intestinal coccidia in peak density Microtus agrestis, Microtus oeconomus and Clethrionomus glareolus populations in Finland / Juha Laakkonen, Antti Oksanen, Timo Soveri, Heikki Henttonen.

Title: Dynamics of intestinal coccidia in peak density Microtus agrestis, Microtus oeconomus and Clethrionomus glareolus populations in Finland / Juha Laakkonen, Antti Oksanen, Timo Soveri, Heikki Henttonen.
Author(s): Laakkonen, Juha.
Oksanen, Antti.
Soveri, Timo.
Henttonen, Heikki.
Date: 1998.
In: Ecography. (1998.), Vol. 21 (1998)
Abstract: Study of seasonal changes in occurrence of Eimeria in these vole species showed peaks in early autumn. Low prevalence and density of infection before and during main population crash in late winter indicate that these organisms, though potentially pathogenic, do not significantly contribute to drastic decline in cyclic vole populations.
