Abstract: | Biota of bottom near cathode dumping pit was studied. Pit had been used for five years when samples were taken in 1989. Community was studied on six transects and at depths of 3, 6 and 9 m. At each station photographs were taken of quadrats and kelp holdfasts were sampled for analysis of smaller invertebrates. There was little indication that pit affected structure of subtidal community. |
