Abstract: Four invertebrate species were analysed for total moisture, protein, lipid and ash content. Body composition within species varied among stations. Data support previous work indicating that biogenic materials from primary production in ice-free western area are advected eastward down Westwind Trough, which has higher organic input than Belgica Trough.
