Glacier regimes, periglacial landforms, and Holocene climate change in the Kiglaik Mountains, Seward Peninsula, Alaska, U.S.A. / Parker E. Calkin, Darrell S. Kaufman, Bruce J. Przbyl, W. Brett Whitford, Brian J. Peck.
Title: | Glacier regimes, periglacial landforms, and Holocene climate change in the Kiglaik Mountains, Seward Peninsula, Alaska, U.S.A. / Parker E. Calkin, Darrell S. Kaufman, Bruce J. Przbyl, W. Brett Whitford, Brian J. Peck. |
Author(s): | Calkin, Parker E. Kaufman, Darrell S. Przbyl, Bruce J. Whitford, W. Brett. Peck, Brian J. |
Date: | 1998. |
In: | Arctic and Alpine Research. (1998.), Vol. 30(2) (1998) |
Abstract: | Provides glaciological sketches of three little-known glaciers in sub-Arctic mountain range and derives Holocene chronologies from their looped end moraines. Speculates on palaeoclimatic significance of these deposits as well as on significance of tongue-shaped rock glaciers, protalus ramparts, and pingos. |
