Record #146402:

A small glacier as an index of regional mass balance: Baby Glacier, Axel Heiberg Island, 1959-1992 / W. Peter Adams, J.G. Cogley, M.A. Ecclestone, M.N. Demuth.

Title: A small glacier as an index of regional mass balance: Baby Glacier, Axel Heiberg Island, 1959-1992 / W. Peter Adams, J.G. Cogley, M.A. Ecclestone, M.N. Demuth.
Author(s): Adams, W. Peter.
Cogley, J. G.
Ecclestone, M. A.
Demuth, M. N.
Date: 1998.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1998.), Vol. 80A(1) (1998)
Abstract: Reviews mass balance records of Baby Glacier, Axel Heiberg Island, N.W.T., Canada from 1959, correlated with larger White Glacier. Concludes programmes of measurement on small, simple bodies such as Baby Glacier can be representative of a large region. Emphasises importance of continued study by different methods for picking up possible rapid warming at high latitudes.
