Record #146367:

International Antarctic Zone Programme (iAnZone), an affiliated programme of SCOR / E. Fahrbach.

Title: International Antarctic Zone Programme (iAnZone), an affiliated programme of SCOR / E. Fahrbach.
Author(s): Fahrbach, E.
Date: 1998.
In: WCRP (Series). (1998.), Vol. 102 (1998)
Abstract: Outlines iAnZone programs on quantitative knowledge and modeling capability of seasonal cycle and interannual variability of Southern Ocean and its sea-ice cover, emphasising climate fluxes. Outlines internationally coordinated iAnZone field activities: 1) Ice Station Weddell, studying environment of western margin of Weddell Sea, and Antarctic Bottom Water; 2) Antarctic Zone Flux (AntFlux), measuring mixed layer, sea ice and atmospheric boundary layer; 3) Deep Ocean VEntilation Through Antarctic Intermediate Layers (DOVETAIL), focussing on escape of recently ventilated deep water from Weddell Sea into Global Ocean.
Notes:

WCRP (Series). Vol. 102 :B11.1-B11.15 (1998).

WMO/TD 867.

Keywords: 551.326 -- Floating ice.
