Abstract: Article describes several expeditions intended, inter alia, to look for signs of Andrée, around Svalbard, on Franz Josef Land, along Siberian coast and on East Greenland. Buoys had fetched up around Svalbard and on Iceland. Searchers included Lerner, Pike, Prince Albert of Monaco, Stadling and Nathorst. New craft were tried, including Byrd's aeroplane, and successful nuclear submarine "Nautilus" and icebreaker "Arktika". Now tourists go to Pole.
