Record #146159:

Stock composition of some sockeye salmon, Oncorhynchus nerka, catches in southeast Alaska, based on incidence of allozyme variants, freshwater ages, and a brain-tissue parasite / Jerome Pella, and 6 others.

Title: Stock composition of some sockeye salmon, Oncorhynchus nerka, catches in southeast Alaska, based on incidence of allozyme variants, freshwater ages, and a brain-tissue parasite / Jerome Pella, and 6 others.
Author(s): Pella, Jerome.
Date: 1998.
Publisher: Washington, D.C.: U.S. Department of Commerce. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Abstract: Indentifies incidence of four discrete characters of individual sockeye salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka) - two genetically inherited proteins, freshwater age at migration, and presence of brain-tissue parasite Myxobolus arcticus - in weekly samples from two Alaskan fisheries. Uses data to infer stock composition of catches based on corresponding character samples from 73 Alaskan and Canadian stocks.
