Record #144933:

A new trachypsammiid cnidarian from the Late Permian of Spitsbergen / Aleksander Nowiński.

Title: A new trachypsammiid cnidarian from the Late Permian of Spitsbergen / Aleksander Nowiński.
Author(s): Nowiński, Aleksander.
Date: 1997.
In: Polish Polar Research. (1997.), Vol. 18(3-4) (1997)
Abstract: Starostinella nordica gen. et sp. n. is described from uppermost Permian of Kapp Starostin. It is attributed to trachypsammiidae Gerth, whose members were previously associated with different higher rank taxa within cnidaria or as result of symbiosis of cladochonoidal organism with intermediate hydroid or stromatoporoid. S. nordica seems to support latter assumption. Hydrocoralla have simpler structure than those of other trachyps.
