| Abstract: | Paper describes study, started in 1962, of quakes associated with dynamics of Hans Glacier and tectonic earthquakes in region, based on recordings from Hornsund seismological station and several measurements on glacier. Quake foci were located. Physical parameters were found by spectral analysis using shear band model of seismic source. Results are related to tectonics of South Spitsbergen region. |
